4 Morning Routines to Supercharge Your Day

In the past, I used to wonder why many people hate their morning. They’re technically the best time for your body according to science. They’re the times when your energy is at the highest level.

Later on, I soon discovered that it’s not the morning that ruins people’s day, it’s the people that ruin their own morning. They immediately pick up their phone, open social media, and just fill their face with radiation right after opening their eyes.

That’s more than enough to deplete your energy and ruin the whole day.

Instead, do these 3 things. You’ll be left with much powerful energy to get the rest of the day.

1. Drink water.

This one is highly underrated. People know they should drink water, but they’re too lazy to do it. Despite having their body made mostly by water.

When you wake up in the morning, you’re highly dehydrated, you haven’t drunk for the whole night. if you don’t’ fulfill it right away, it could get dehydrated pretty quickly.

It would be a wiser choice to get a cup of water than firing up your social media. At least, for your own health.

2. Meditating

Your mind is still gathering focus when you first wake up. Meditation will boost that process instantly. All you have to do is close your eyes and feel your body and your surrounding. Then just pop back on after a couple of minutes.

If you don’t get enough sleep, then meditating will surely a great way to cope with it.

3. Journaling

Journalling is by far one of the most powerful things you can do. It can unload underlying emotion, relieve buried pain, and illuminate your twisted thought.

In the case of waking up, you can use journaling to write down your dream. For me, it’s a lot of fun. You’ll make them a lot clearer. You get to see the story in the full picture.

Or, you could just treat it as a regular journal; write down what you feel, what you learn, and what you want to be.

Doesn’t have to be long, they just have to be written. You can do so with a digital app, but I recommend you do this with a book, handwritten. Just so you can avoid your smartphone in the early of the day.

4. Affirmation

Affirmation is basically a positive statement you said to yourself. Over time, research has shown how crucial they are to our mental health.

With astounding benefits and how easy it is to do it, there is no reason for you to not do it.

Let say you want to exercise consistently.

Look at the mirror and say these out loud:

  • I’m a healthy person
  • I’m a consistent person.
  • I exercise every day
  • I’m thrilled to go to the gym
  • I’m excited to get worked up.

Or, if you want to have a supercharging day, you can say something like:

  • I can get through this day pretty easily
  • This day would be a wonderful day
  • There are miracles waiting for me

Get it? Good. Now make your own affirmation for the things you want. Write them down and say them out loud, in front of the mirror, right after you wake up.


Morning is a special time with an abundance of potential. If you treat them right, you can harvest a ton of benefits, physically and mentally., if you don’t, well, you might get burned up instead.

Looking at your phone immediately is the easiest way to destroy your morning, and your day.

Rest aside, there are a lot of useful things you can do. I outlined what I thought to be the most important: Drink water, meditation, affirmation, and journaling.

If you never do these routines before, do it. You’ll feel the differences right away!
